Perplexity's AI can now build a shop's sale page, ads and emails
Perplexity Computer now links to Shopify, Meta ads and Klaviyo email. An online seller can describe a promotion and have the AI prepare the page, ads and emails, and the business chooses which steps need its approval before they go live.

The short version
- Perplexity's work assistant, Computer, can now run the main steps of an online shop's promotion.
- It reads Shopify sales data and builds a landing page. It also makes Meta ads and writes Klaviyo emails in the brand's own style.
- The business sets the budget and decides which steps need its sign-off before anything goes live.

What Perplexity launched
Perplexity's Computer is an AI assistant that carries out work with many steps. On 3 November, Perplexity showed how online sellers can use it to grow sales.
Computer now connects to three services that many online brands already use. Shopify runs the store and holds its sales data. Meta runs ads on Facebook and Instagram. Klaviyo sends marketing emails.
The owner describes the goal in plain words. Perplexity's own example asks it to promote a new summer collection at 15% off. The brief includes a two-week Meta ad campaign capped at $1,000 and an email to existing customers. Everything must be shown for review before launch.
How it works
- Choosing products. Computer studies recent Shopify sales and suggests what to promote.
- Building the page. It creates a landing page in Shopify using the brand's guidelines. The team makes final edits there.
- Making the ads. It combines the offer with research on competitors and on past ad results. It makes still ads, and new versions of videos that worked before. Then it sets up the campaign in Meta and links each ad to the page.
- Sending the emails. In Klaviyo, it picks an audience, such as past buyers. It writes the copy and links to the same page.
Brands can save their design rules and tone of voice as "skills". Computer then applies them to everything it makes for the brand.
The business keeps control of money and publishing. Teams choose which actions need review. Perplexity's examples are publishing pages, sending emails and spending on ads.
What it means for brands in Indonesia
Shopify and Klaviyo are popular with brands that sell from their own websites. Many Indonesian brands sell mostly through marketplaces such as Shopee or TikTok Shop. Perplexity's post doesn't mention those. So for most local sellers, this shows where things are heading more than what they can use today.
One AI can now read the sales data and also make and buy the ads. Work that used to pass between several people can be prepared by one person and an AI, then reviewed.
An AI that can spend ad money needs firm limits. Its ads also need the same brand and legal checks as any other campaign.
What to do next
- If you sell on Shopify, test it on one small promotion with a low ad budget.
- Write down your brand rules and tone of voice, since AI tools need them in writing.
- Require your approval before any page goes live or any ad money is spent.
- Compare the results with your usual campaign process on cost and speed.
- Ask your agency partners how they plan to use tools like this on your account.
